[ ], a cannon gunner with the 2nd Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB) in support of Operation Ardent Vanguard, hand launches a Skydio X10 small unmanned aerial system during Operation Proud American Vanguard I, near Yuma, Arizona, Aug. 21, 2026. The 24-hour operation integrated Soldiers with U.S. Border Patrol to monitor and report suspected illegal alien movement patterns across Yuma and Wellton areas of operation, supporting follow-on border enforcement efforts.
